Anorexia in Mexico
Anorexia is a symptom that describes the loss of appetite or lack of appetite and can occur in very different circumstancesstates such as fever, general and digestive diseases or just temporary situations of everyday life. Anorexia is characterized by the fear of gaining weight and distorted and delusional perception of one's body that makes the patient look fat even if your weight is lower than recommended. Thus began a progressive decrease in weight by fasting and reduced food intake.
It usually starts with the elimination of carbohydrates, as there is the false belief that fat. Then rejects the fats, proteins and even liquids, leading to cases of extreme dehydration. These drastic measures you can add other behaviors associated with the use of diuretics, laxatives, purging, induced vomiting or excessive exercise. Affected individuals may lose from 15 to 50 percent in the most critical of their body weight. This disease is often associated with serious psychological disorders that cause changes in behavior, emotional behavior and stigmatization of the body.CAUSES
Its cause is unknown, but social factors appear important. Although there are many cultural factors that can trigger anorexia, it is likely that a portion of the population have a physical predisposition to suffer from this disorder, regardless of the pressure that can exert the environment. Therefore, there are general factors that are associated with a trigger or some biological vulnerability, which is what precipitated the development of the disease.
